Product Overview
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Sensor is a prescription continuous glucose monitoring device designed for individuals ages 2 years and older with diabetes.
Applied to the back of the upper arm, the sensor continuously measures glucose in the interstitial fluid beneath the skin. Glucose information can be viewed using either a compatible smartphone running the Libre app or a FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader.
When used with the current Libre app, glucose readings are transmitted automatically to the compatible smartphone without routine scanning. When used with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader, the user scans the sensor to view the current glucose reading, trend arrow, and recent glucose history.
With up to 15 days of sensor wear, a small low-profile design, optional glucose alarms, and compatibility with select automated insulin-delivery technology, the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Sensor offers a flexible solution for everyday glucose monitoring.
